Marts the 25th – trip to the EU house in CopenhagenMarts the 25th – trip to the EU house in Copenhagen

My expectations to the arrangement were high, and I expected cutting
replies from the politicians and from Green Peace, and debate. I hoped
to learn more about the global climate issues we are facing, and
perhaps hear some new and interesting angles of the problem.
I also wanted to know what I could do for the climate.

My expectations were fulfilled, and I walked from the arrangement with
more knowledge about what EU does to reduce the consequences of the
global warming.
Something that made a big impression on me was what politician Britta
Thomsen said.
She said that the consequences of the warmer climate will have bigger
consequences for the women than for men, and most of the victims of
natural disasters are women and children – many women in Africa can’t
swim, and have a huge problem if their houses and land are flooded.
So we have to prevent the global warming as well as we can, reduce the
CO2 pollution and help people so they can help themselves.
